About Us

We are situated in East Way, Bournemouth and provide education to children mainly from the local area of Queen’s Park and Charminster.

Queen’s Park Academy was established in October 2012 under the sponsorship of the Ambitions Academy Trust and currently offers a mainstream Junior education. The Academy is on one site which is led by our Trust and our Principal, Sarah Simmons. The Multi Academy Trust provides strategic leadership for the Academy with the CEO reporting both to the Governors and the Multi Academy Trustees. We also frequently work in partnership with our local Secondary and Grammar schools who are very close by.

We are a four-form entry school for boys and girls between the ages of 7 to 11 and each class has approximately 30 pupils. More information about joining our Academy can be found on the Admissions Policy in the “Document Zone” tab.

When children transfer from their Infant provision, information is used to inform staff as to a pupils’ starting point. This information includes academic achievements at the end of KS1, in-year progress or end of year progress.
